After taking a 10-0 lead on the Redskins, the Broncos collapsed. That Doug Williams and Washington played arguably the best 15 minutes of offensive football in NFL history was of no consolation, and the Broncos absorbed a 42-10 defeat that wiped away the warm feelings of a second consecutive AFC title and John Elway’s league MVP trophy.
